SIP: Stamps, Ink, and Paper

I love a CHALLENGE!
This card class was a challenge because I limited myself to just
STAMPS, INK, and PAPER!
No ribbon (except to close the box) brads, or glitter (*gasp*)! It ended up once I got the creative ball rolling, I had to STOP myself! I realized that after 4 cards I had forgotten the BOX! So we had a BONUS project! It was a really simple class and everyone commented on how EASY PEASY it was!
Thanks for looking!

This  box is SUPER SIMPLE!
I used an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of Rose Red cardstock.
Along the 11" side, I scored at the 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" and 10". On the 8 1/2 side I scored at the 2" for the bottom. I cut out the small rectangle (at the 10" and 2" score lines) and cut from the bottom of the paper up to the bottom (2") score lines so your box will close. I stamped in versamark the swirl from the PRICELESS set. The tag is from the hostess set HOLIDAY BEST. Close the sides and bottom of the box using adhesive. Fill with your favorite goodie and close the top like a milk carton. Punch 2 holes using the rectangle punch and thread Rose ribbon through to close.

This little Zebra card was a piece to whip up!
I tore the white and mounted it on the black... plays tricks with your eyes!
Sahara Sand is the color of his stripes.

The Fifth Avenue Floral set is simple, versatile and ELEGANT! I love it! This was a simple card, even the ribbon is paper! I just broke down the paper fibers using my bone folder like you would if you were curling robbon with a pair of scissors, pulled it through a few times on each side of the paper and then 'smunched' (official stampin term) it in the area that was to be the middle of the knot and and then tied it in a single knot. I used Regal Rose, Old Olive, and Basic Grey.

The CIRCLE CIRCUS and SMARTY PANTS sets are so FUN!
The colors are Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, and Ballet Blue. I stamped the circles randomly
leaving the upper half of the white blank. I placed a strip of the chocolate chip
middle-ish, leaving room for the verse at the top.

This is one of my favorite cards we made last night!
I used a retired background stamp called FILLIGREE and a verse from ALL HOLIDAYS. Cardstock is Close to Cocoa and Blush Blossom. I sponged around the edges of all pieces and then layer together.
It really looks vintage! Super Simple!

Holiday Hooplah Stamp-a-Stack

What a GREAT TIME we had this past weekend! The cards were delightful, but better yet, the company and conversations!!! I had 8 gals attend. We had a sandwich bar for lunch, complete with chips and potato salad. Dessert was a "Mock Eclair Pie" and of course we couldn't have a Stamp-a-Stack without Mojitos! It was a great day and everyone who attended left with personalized hand stamped goodies! Here are the 5 cards we made. If you need supplies or instructions, let me know and I can help! Some randomness to end the day

Just my last post for the day. Family is hovering like a helicopter in stealth mode (I know you're standing there reading this over my shoulder)but I wanted to finish up with a few more cards for today. Christmas in July are the 2 Christmas Cards, another fall card we made at a Saturday class and a couple of cards from my "Black, White and Red all over" Class. Enjoy and thanks for looking! Candas

Phoenix Stamp-a-Stack

I LOVE going to Phoenix... IN THE FALL!!!! It was a beautiful day for a drive and my mom went with me to keep me company! The ladies that I stamp with in the valley are super! They amaze me with their wit and humor! I had such a fun afternoon. Not to the delicious goodies that we snacked on for most of the afternoon! The stamp-a-stack was a Christmas themed one with a couple of Birthday and Thinking of you cards to keep our supply stocked. Thanks for looking! Candas

Cards for the little Ghouls

Last nights card class! We had such a fun time!
I love the Dracula Card... he gets much of his character from the shading. The Candy Corn card was super simple using just a black stamp pad and candy corn themed paper. The pumpkin card was a snap using Staz-on ink, watercolor crayons, and aquapainters. That combination can make anyone look like a watercolor PRO! The witch hat card was jazzed up using the Bride Designer Series Paper, sponge daubers and Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive Ink. I love the glittery hat band! Thanks for looking! Candas
