Has anyone seen my blog?? I seem to have misplaced it!

It seems that I have a few that stumble upon my little corner of the virtual world, but don't stay long.Life is exactly that, LIFE! Unpredictable, unreliable (unless you count it being reliable to surprise), and unrelenting.
So here I sit in my pale yellow tricot nightgown with a fan blowing the backs of my legs to cool me off while I try NOT to melt like a sno-cone in Phoenix. I am with a deadline to create... and yet my mind is comletely BLANK! How I LOVE creating, but when the synapses refuse to fire, that's when I go blog-hopping myself! So wish me luck and if I'm successful in my 'hunting and gathering', I'll be sure to share!

Speaking of CARDSTOCK!

I can't blog a day without sharing a few projects. This was our BUTTERFLIES class a couple weeks ago.
We used the priceless set, the butterfly punch for the pansies, the Dreams du jour set, and the Butterflies sizzix die for our projects. It was a really fun class! Thanks for stopping by!

Dusting off the ol' blog!

I can't believe that it's been SOOO long since I posted!
I apologize for my slacker-ness and don't promise to not do it again, but I do promise to make it more of a priority! I appreciate all you comments and observations! and hanging in there while I remember where I put it (I got it together, just can't remember where I put it ;)
I have OODLES of goodies to share!
So I'll start with canning!
My youngest pair peeling the peach skins off blanched peaches. They were serious.
8 Quarts of fresh peaches. Oh these are going to taste sooo good this winter!

Peaches preped for the jammery!

It's all in a days work!
That's been keeping me busy! It's PRICKLY PEAR SEASON in Arizona and my wonderful kitchen kids picked 10 gallons of prickly pears and we made juice out of 5 gallons, which boils down *literally* to 1 gallon juice. We made a quadruple batch of jelly which turned out DIVINE! and then gave the remaining jelly to a friend so she could try her hand at the jelly making process. Then we followed it up with peaches, peach jam, peach jelly, spiced peach jam, and pear bread, pear butter, and cinnamon pears. Needless to say this fall harvest has kept us all busy, in case you're wondering if I'm just sitting around with my thumb in my cardstock.

Gum Holder

Just a quick post today before I get stamping for the Birthday Bash we're having tonight at Card Class!
This is a gum holder that I saw on another blog (not even my own creation) but I LOVE it!
The little velcro closure could be swapped out for a little magnet. OOOh the possibilities are endless!
Going to have to whip one of these babies up!
Thanks for Looking!

As they say...

Time flies when you're having FUN! Life may not always be FUN, but it sure has been busy! I've had so much going on that those cards that sit so quietly AND patiently to be photo'd have done just that! Sit there, so those of you who are blog 'stalkers' send me an e-mail and tell me to get on the stick!
Thanks for looking and hope that you have had a WoNdErFuL beginning to your new year!

Sale-a-Bration and Occasions Mini Cards

The FIRST card class of the YEAR! WoW we had so much fun!

as well as the OCCASIONS mini catalog.
Thanks for looking and leave a comment
(just in case there are any 'blog stalkers' out there...)

This card features one of my FAVORITE colors! BASIC GRAY!
I love it! it goes with ANYTHING!
The set is ASIAN ARTISTRY and I stamped in Gray
and used a retired *gasp* metallic colored pencils
to add detail and color to the images.
The GRAY SATIN ribbon is found in the
NEW SELECTION of SATIN RIBBONS
in the Occassion mini catalog! GORGEOUS!

This card is practically copied out of the SALE-A-BRATION mini.
Super simple and easy.
Although some of my stampers were amazed at how many little steps there were.
I used an OPTIONAL SALE-A-BRATION reward set called HELLO AGAIN
 and WHIMSICAL WORDS.
BLISS BLUE, OLD OLIVE and PIXIE PINK cardstock.
STRIPPED GROSGRAIN ties it together.

This card features the SOLID STRIPES and
BUTTERFLY ACCENT stamps from the OCCASIONS MINI.
The butterfly is such a VERSITILE stamp!
I can't wait til next week when we do the kissing technique with it!
I used VERSAMARK only to create the tone on tone effect
as well as emboss the butterflies wtih IRIDESCENT ICE embossing powder.
SOFT SUEDE, BERMUDA BAY, MELON MAMBO are the cardstocks.
I love the BERMUDA BAY POLKADOT GROSGRAIN.

This card has a boo-boo on it. Can you spot the boo-boo?
(that's what happens when I take pictures AFTER class instead of before)
This card is done in CLOSE TO COCOA with a smidgn of CHOCOLATE CHIP.
The EXTRA LARGE 2-STEP BIRD punch is used for the bird and the leaves.
I sponged and stamped it's wing with CLOSE TO COCOA ink,
The 2x2 GLASSINE ENVELOPES are just the right size to add
a message on the front with the KISSES card inserts.
I use an incentive stamp for the message.

Happy New Year!

A belated MERRY CHRISTMAS
and
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you!

I love new beginnings and the NEW YEAR is one of my FAVORITE! I feel like I get a UNIVERSAL "do over". So with that comes new resolutions... this year I resolve to be kinder to others, more patient, more forgiving, more accepting. Overall healthier, this year I turn 4-0! I don't FEEL 4-0! More like late 20's still trying to figure out life in general! I also resolve to be a better more dilligent blogger. Still posting with regular regularity *ha* made me laugh thinking of a laxative commercial from the redunant redundancy department.
So with this I had better get crackin'! I have my first class of the year on Tuesday the 5th and I have a few ideas, but nothing stamped, cut or assembled.

I'll get it done... just be patient... hey leave a comment that might motivate me a bit ;0)

Decembers' First-Saturday-of-the-Month Class

I hold a card class on the first Saturday of each month.
The cards here are from the December Class.
I had such a fun time whipping these up!
Thanks for looking!
Candas

This card uses a paper pak I found at Big Lots!
It was a great buy and this funky and sparkly stripe was just what I was hoping to find!
I used the SWEET SEASON stamp set,  TWO (2) TAGS BIGZ die and 5/8" red grosgrain ribbon.
REAL RED stamp pad and the SCALLOPED and 1 3/8" CIRCLE Punch\

I LOVE this CARD!!!
I used a clear acetate sheet, stamped with STAZ-ON OPAQUE WHITE pad, and the
SERENE SNOWFLAKES stamp set. MANY MERRY MESSAGES' NOEL Stamp is the verse.
The silver SCALLOPED OVAL punch is done using foil tape found at the local hardware store.
It was self adhesive so it doesn't show through on the inside.
I adhered the cardstock to the acetate sheet on the back along the folded edge. The WHITE ORGANZA RIBBON really makes the card elegant!

CARDINAL CHRISTMAS is the stamp set.
ALWAYS ARTICHOKE and ROSE RED Cardstock
I used the markers, blender pen and a cd for a pallet to color the cardinal.
The MODERN LABEL PUNCH and the LARGE OVAL PUNCH
are used for the greeting. I trimmed the LARGE OVAL PUNCH
to create the border on the top and bottom, brads to add accent.

I saw this color combination in a mgazine advertisement for some housewares store.
Committed it to memory for a time like this!
It just fell together. NOT QUITE NAVY & CLOSE TO COCOA Cardstock and ink.
PATTERNED PINES Stamp set.
SHIMMERY WHITE PAINT mixed in a travel size spray bottle with rubbing alcohol
and sprayed onto the cardstock create the shimmery background. Vanilla 5/8" grosgrain ribbon is wrapped
around the cocoa cardstock.
DAZZLING DIAMONDS GLITTER  and a 2 way glue pen,
add shimmer to the middle tree.

Thanks for looking and for my class schedule, chek out my website

Christmas Card Kick Off!

This past Tuesday was our Christmas Card Kickoff!
I really enjoy Christmas and the giving of handmade gifts!
These cards are simple, yet convey the spirit of the Holiday!
Thanks for looking!
Candas

This set is done in REAL RED and SAHARA SAND.
I used the SERENE SNOWFLAKES set. I borrowed the idea off of
the Stampin' Up! website from a fellow demonstrator.

This one is really simple! I used BRAVO BURGUNDY and the BRUSHED GOLD cardstock.
The wreath is made using the twig and berry stamp from AUTUMN DAYS.
Just ink it and stamp in a circle!
I used the MODERN LABEL PUNCH and the WORD WINDOW PUNCH.
The greeting comes from TEENY TINY WISHES.

This card idea was also borrowed from the SU demo website.
I love the simplicity of it. RUBY RED and OLD OLIVE CARDSTOCK really
make the combo POP! The set is SEASON OF JOY and HEARD FROM THE HEART.

I love the GINGERBREAD-IE feel of this
non-traditional color
Christmas card. I used SWEET SEASON stamp set.
PRETTY IN PINK and CLOSE TO COCOA Cardstock.
The PETALS A PLENTY embossing folder and a brayer made the unique background.
